Intellectual Property Policy

description 1. Purpose

This Intellectual Property (IP) Policy governs the ownership, licensing, and use of intellectual property created through or submitted to the CAGE Research Platform ("Platform"). It supplements the Research Contributor Agreement (NDA) that all registered researchers have signed.

person 2. Researcher Ownership of Data

Researchers retain full ownership of:

• Their original experimental data, observations, and measurements
• Photographs and media they upload to the Platform
• Personal notes, annotations, and written analyses
• Any pre-existing intellectual property they bring to the Platform

Ownership of your contributions is never transferred to CAGE by submitting data to the Platform.

By submitting content to the Platform, researchers grant CAGE Chemical Inc. a:

This license does not grant CAGE exclusive rights. Researchers remain free to use, publish, or license their own data independently.

When research conducted on the Platform leads to a patent application or commercial product:

CAGE Chemical Inc. retains ownership of:

• The Platform software, design, and user interface
• Curation, organization, and structuring of research tracks
• AI analysis tools, models, and generated insights
• Compiled and aggregated datasets (as distinct from individual contributions)
• The CAGE brand, trademarks, and marketing materials

public 6. Open Access and Publication

CAGE is committed to open science. Research track knowledge bases will be made publicly available after:

• Sufficient evidence has been gathered to support or refute the track hypothesis
• Any necessary patent applications have been filed to protect contributors' interests
• Contributing researchers have been notified and attributed

Published research will be freely accessible to the global scientific community, in keeping with CAGE's mission to advance clean chemistry for humanity.

delete_forever 7. Data Deletion Rights

Researchers can request full deletion of their data at any time through the Request Deletion page.

Upon deletion:

• Your account, profile, and personal information will be permanently removed
• Your experimental submissions, trials, and uploaded photos will be deleted
• Your contributions to published datasets may be anonymized rather than deleted, to preserve scientific integrity
• NDA records will be retained for 7 years as required by law

Deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive email confirmation when the process is complete.

Any disputes regarding intellectual property ownership or licensing will be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions of the Research Contributor Agreement. CAGE is committed to fair resolution and will engage in good-faith negotiation before pursuing any formal proceedings.
